Undergraduate Food Science Major - choose among UC Davis Purdue University Ilinois Urbana Champaign

Hi,
I am an international High School student from Indonesia who is interested in Food Science major and has been accepted by the three universities. I would like to work in major food companies for a few years in the US with aspiration to have my own consumer food company eventually (US or back home). Which schools should I choose based on my aspiration? I also applied to Cornell but was rejected. Is Cornell really the best for Food science? If so, what is my chances to transfer after 1 or 2 years in one of those schools?

I also look for more food processing technology studies…which schools offer more classes on this emphasis. Thanks for all the help supports and answers from all answers.

Jeff

Not sure how you have been accepted to UC Davis since decisions will not be out till March?
Check the major curriculum for each school to see if your emphasis of interest is available.

Upps sorry…I am actually his father writing on his behalf on a joint account. I just checked with him.
Correction — He has been accepted in Purdue U and Illinois Urbana Champaign and still waiting for UC Davis. My mistakes.

Thanks for quick link on the Davis

No problem. If admitted and if possible, I would suggest he attend admitted students day in April where he can meet the faculty and ask his questions.

Also, he shouldn’t plan on being employed by a US company since immigration rules are strict and have significantly changed. He should plan on returning to his home country after graduation.

A company has to comply with the federal rules when employing a non US citizen. They have to state that no US citizens can be found to fill a position and they need to provide documentation that published attempts were made to find US applicants.
Non-US employees have to be willing to find a sponsor company who will do all of the visa paperwork, wait a certain amount of time, and pay fees towards the visa.
