Are there many respected universities that offer a bachelor’s degree in pharmacology/toxicology? I know that University of Southern California has one, but I was wondering if there were other options since it seems to be predominantly master’s/doctoral programs.
The Penn St website says that there are 10 of them. It looks like in addition to PSU, Wisconsin and Arizona State both have a program.
Yep. This is one of those fields that’s usually studied at the graduate level.
For undergrad, a major in biology or chemistry is fine. Take as many courses as possible in both disciplines.
There are many, many colleges that provide excellent preparation for a PhD program in pharmacology or toxicology or, if you’re so inclined, for one of the highly selective MSTP programs. Think about what you’re looking for in a college:
