Undergraduate: SMU Cox vs UVA McIntire

Just wondering what would give better job opportunities in the field of finance. I know that UVA consistently has higher B-School rankings, but I also know that SMU has great connections in the Dallas area. Also I thought it would be easier to get a top job from SMU because it seems like it would be easier to rise to the top of the class with not as smart kids. I know SMU is pretty smart, but I also know that UVA has an extremely challenging environment in which all the kids have 32+ ACT, etc.

Thoughts???

University of Virginia for sure.

bump bump bump

IMO, go for the school with smarter classmates. If you work your butt off, you can probably top them, and you will look even better if UVA is well-known for being more selective.

I wouldn’t worry too much about connections. Work for that high GPA, then NETWORK a ton with companies that interest you, and you will succeed.
