Undergradute SDSU or UCSB

I am currently a first year freshmen at UCSB and I have decided to major in business economics. I am wondering however if I should transfer to SDSU. I love both towns, but I know SDSU is a bit cheaper and I would play soccer there. I have also heard that SDSU has a good undergrad business school. I am also planning on going to grad school my first choice probably being UCLA, but any top grad school would be fine with me. I would just like some advice whether I should stay at UCSB or go to SDSU. Which is better for my future?

Go where your heart tells you to go. I attended UCSB and I can tell you if you can pull of the same grades from UCSB as you would in SDSU it will look a little better on the books for graduate school. But honestly if you think you will be more satisfied in regards to your life style in SDSU and can pull off better grades, you should follow your heart.

If you are having a good time in UCSB and if you are expecting a “better” time in SDSU, then you should make sure you aren’t making a mistake. If you are not enjoying your life at UCSB, then it makes your decision easier doesn’t it?

In general people regret not doing something, than actually doing something. Follow what your heart thinks is right and don’t look back. Good luck.

It all depends on you. You are the best decision maker for yourself.

Business economics is a good major and I don’t think that SDSU has that major. However, if you’re more interested in entrepreneurship, SDSU has a top notch program. You have already chosen UCSB, so I would just stay there if you’re iffy about whether or not to transfer. Sounds like you just want a change of pace. You never know, if you transfer to SDSU just because, then you could regret it. However, if money is a big issue, then transfer to SDSU.

Correct, SDSU has a good entrepreneurship program. They claim graduates have started Costco for starters, jack in the box, etc. They have a full list here: [Alumni — EMC — San Diego State](http://www-rohan.sdsu.edu/dept/emc/apply/)

The trick is whether you believe entrepreneurship is taught, or if they are born. If its the former, SDSU is great. If it’s the latter, then if doesn’t matter where you attend. The only true thing is if you attend SDSU’s Entrepreneurship program, then you will have a pretty nifty network of Alumni.
