Being looked at by Ivy NESCAC Patriot etc

ACT 33 (11 writing)
SAT 2120
Class Rank Top 7%
GPA 4.06 weighted

Academic Index Rating of 218

Would really love to go Ivy

Is 218 a safe AI score?

I’ll try my best to give you a reality check from what you’ve shared.

You may have the academics covered from what I can tell. Good job on the ACT and SAT. What about your baseball skills? Have you gone to showcases that were attended by D1/Ivy/Patriot/NESCAC coaches? Any feedback? Attended any camps? Are you being recruited by any other D1 schools currently? Most Ivy players are recruited by other D1 schools, as the League level has gone up over the last few years. It is extremely competitive on the baseball field, and all programs have their share of studs. If you are a CF, you need to be really fast…6.5 or less in the 60. If you are a corner outfielder you need to bring a stout bat to the plate.

Class rank is no longer factored in the AI. What about unweighted GPA, and class rigor? Did you excel in the most challenging classes offered? AP classes? What is your Ivy “hook”… what do you do that separates you from others in the classroom and on the baseball field?

To be clear, the Ivy coach has to want you for your baseball skills and Ivy Admissions has to want you for your grades. It is a 100% admissions package deal.

Questions?

how do you find out your AI index?
