UNF to Cornell transfer

Hey guys. I'm not really a forum person so I'll just state what I have I guess.

High school gpa - 4.6 weighted (3.6 un)
Ap LIT - 4
IB Eng HL - 5
IB Spanish SL - 5
IB Psychology - 4
SAT - 1330 (one test. I don't know my superscored info. I'll look it up later. maybe 10 or 20 points higher)
ACT - 31
Various extracurricular activites, such as tennis, golf, 25-30 stable volunteer services weekly, clubs, etc.

UNF Honors
First semester gpa - 3.6 (fail.)
Second semester (currently) - All A's (idk how that transfers to gpa. probably .1 off or something cuz it gets weird about that stuff)

And yeah, this is my first year in college, and currently I'm enrolled in my second semester. I want to transfer to Cornell for various reasons (at the bottom being financial aid cuz my family makes < 75k), mostly due to an intensely growing passion for a new place to live, experience new things, and have access to the vast amount of knowledge that Cornell has to offer in regards to a Computer Science major.

However, I want to apply to their CS major under the College of Engineering and, being a first year student, do not completely meet the "prerequirements" of this major. However, under a technical 4-year degree, I would. Meeting the prerequisites is an important aspect of determining an acceptance or rejection, I understand, but I would like clarification of someone knowledgeable specifically in Cornell's transfer policy regarding this part of the process.

My basic question (and I am still going to apply to Cornell either way because I REALLY want to be there): Would they understand my situation as a (basically) new freshman and still sport an average transfer chance, and would it make sense for them to simply demote me to a first year student at Cornell and me having to go through 4 full years (which is perfectly fine with me, if they do this sort of thing. more years at a school i have a passion for, the better ^^)? And could I mention any of this (should I, anyways) in my transfer essay which asks for my specific interest, the circumstances behind the decision, etc.?

This has nothing to do with their decision, but P.S. I did skip first grade, so I would just be leveled to standard age if I was "held back" to a first year, so to speak.

I hope anybody and everybody willing to answer will answer asap (as the deadline IS March 1). Muow.

You only had two semesters at UNF? If you’re applying as a transfer as a sophomore or junior you should at least have the prereqs fulfilled.

I’m a FL resident and applying to Cornell as well, with 60+ credit hours.
