"Just finished a long day and we have some unfortunate news for you all. Our plans to mail tomorrow (Wednesday, March 29) have hit a snag and we have decided to air on the side of caution and postpone the release of decisions until Thursday, March 30.

We know this is not the news you all want to hear, but please understand this was a difficult decision for all of us to reach. There are a number of reasons why we must postpone for a day, with the most central being we must be confident in all of the decisions we make about the Class of 2010. We will work diligently throughout the next 24 hours to assure that all decisions are final, all mailings are correct, and all emails are ready to be sent.

Thank you for understanding and your continued patience over the next 24 hours."

I really appreciate JHU informing us about this. Thank You. I stayed up all night here in Pakistan because Northwestern said that it will post decisions today.

Regular Decision notifications will be mailed on Thursday, March 30. In addition, if you indicated an e-mail address on your application for admission, you should receive your decision by e-mail on the same day the letters are mailed. Admissions decisions will be released over the phone (to the applicant, parent, guardian, or high school counselor only) after April 3. PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE ADMISSIONS OFFICE REGARDING YOUR DECISION, UNTIL AFTER APRIL 3.

admissionsdaniel, my friend says he got an email today saying that he got in. he said he heard there was a system error and 5% of the accepted decisions were accidently released.

AHHHHHHHHH!!!! I really hope I get in....I don't think I can handle 5 rejections on one day! March 30th will either be AN AWESOME or A REALLY CRAPPY day!

thank you for the update. i guess an extra day won't kill us...i just hope my e-mail address was typed in correctly (and that by the grace of God my app was put in the admit pile).
