UNH financial Aid

I got my financial aid package for the school year of 2017 and overall the price is as good as I could have asked for. The price that I would be paying will be around $ 25,000 which is better than my state school. I got this financial aid package from the FAFSA and also from a special circumstance sheet that said my dad was out of a job. My family’s EFC was around $34,000. Is it unreasonable to think that I will get aid for all four years? My family can afford $35,000 max.
Does anyone have any insight of financial aid from UNH?

Which UNH? University of New Hampshire? University of New Haven?

If your family can afford $35,000 a year, that’s great. That should fund your instate public university too…right?

Here is what younjeed to consider. What will happen when your dad gets a job, and your family income goes UP?

@thumper1 University of New Hampshire. To answer your question yes, that is a good amount and it will cover the cost of in-state UMass Amherst completely. The FAFSA was filed for the year of 2015 when my dad did have a job, so that will mean that the EFC will stay the same even of he gets a job because it is likely he will find something that will pay around the same as he was paid in 2015. I’m just unsure of how dependable UNH is with their financial aid packages because I’m not looking to have a great deal going into freshman year and then having to pay full price for the last three years. I will also never be the only child in my family that is in college all four years.

@eop2017

You apply for need based aid annually. Every year.

so…it’s very hard to predict the future. However the 2018-2019 fafsa will use the income from 2016. In most cases, if there isn’t a substantitive chnge, your need based aid will be similar.

Call the financial aid office and ask…if your famu,y income is the same…will.yoir need based aid remain the same?

@thumper1 good idea I will call and ask

Does anyone else have experience with the school itself and how they deal with financial aid?
