UNH for Business: Good or Bad?

Hello,

So, I am considering UNH for a MS in accounting degree. Being from NY, I am not too familiar with the university. I have been doing my own research, and it seems to be an overall good university. One thing that gets me though is their GMAT waiver. Personally, I think the GMAT is pointless, but after speaking with a professor from my undergraduate university and hearing that the GMAT is required at stronger schools, I am nervous about the program.

All that is really important to me is receiving a good education; I could care less about rankings. From what I see, UNH students have a solid CPA passing rate, which is ultimately what I will do next following grad school.

Any opinions??

If a graduate business school does not require the GMAT or GRE they are trying to attract students or perhaps warm tuition paying bodies. What is your undergrad GPA? Are you a business or accounting undergrad major?

my cumulative is not that strong – only a 3.4. my major (accounting) gpa is a 3.55, and my minor (business administration) is a 3.68.

they allow a waiver if your cumulative gpa is above a 3.2, but i believe they may request those with higher of a gpa to take it if they feel as though an applicant would need it to improve their application. they just might ask me to do so. maybe the waiver is typically granted to those with higher gpas, say 3.6+.

bump…
