Last year in Chicago, my son did 2 walk-ins to schools he had not applied to. After each audition, he was told he was artistically accepted and submit his application ASAP-- which he did. He was later fully accepted to both. I think any school offering kids walk-in spots have to know that 80-90% of the kids haven’t applied there. That’s just the nature of walk-ins. I’d be curious to know what percentage of kids attend the schools that were walk-in auditions for them.
