I am struggling with which college admit offer to accept. I have narrowed down to Connecticut College and Union. Interested in psychology, possibly pre-med prepartion. Would appreicate anyone's thoughts on the pre-med advising between the two schools as well as any other pros and cons. Financials are about equal so that is not a factor.

Hi! I am a senior Psychology major at Union and I have loved it here! The Psychology department has been great- the classes are interesting, the professors are awesome, and there are a lot of opportunities for research. I was pre-med for a while and the program is very strong. The Pre-Health office has 2 advisors- one for first years and another for upperclassmen. They are professors you can meet with in addition to your normal academic advisor that will give you all of the tools you need to apply to medical school after Union (and we do have about an 85% acceptance rate into medical school!). There are regular meetings to make sure you are on track with course requirements, clinical experience, etc. and they often have opportunities for trips to medical schools and medical speakers on campus.
I hope this helps with your decision!

Thanks this does help. I will be coming to Union in the Fall.
