Union vs Siena

Having a very hard time making a final decision and time is running out..
Net cost is approx the same after scholarships. (Union is about $3k higher /yr after awards)
BioChem or Neuroscience / Pre-med
Any opinions???

Union is very well known for health-sciences/pre-med…I usually never have a strong opinion about school v school but in this case, I would definitely pick Union…

The only thing Siena is known for is making it to the NCAA bball tourney a couple of years ago…

Union is MUCH better than Siena, in both terms of prestige and your programs.

I will never comment on school versus school, but here is some information about [Neuroscience

Here also are links to some articles from last year but they highlight some of the research and offerings that we have. A NPR story on Professor Chris Chabris: Why Seeing (The Unexpected) Is Often Not Believing : NPR](http://www.union.edu/academic_depts/neuroscience/index.php) and an article on the $900,000 NSF grant we received last September: [NSF grant to help create Center for Neuroscience](http://www.union.edu/N/DS/s.php?s=9039)

And here is an overview of what our biochem majors do post Union (from the Biochem page).

Since 2001, Union Biochemistry graduates have gone on to the following careers:
23% to graduate school in biochemistry, biology or chemistry
26% to medical school
17% to graduate programs in other fields (law, business, education, etc.)
26% to work in the field, half of these students had plans to go back to graduate school after a year of work
Partial list of graduate/medical schools:
Graduate Schools in Biochemistry, Biology and Chemistry: University of Pennsylvania, University of Rochester, University of Connecticut Health Sciences Center, Harvard University

Medical Schools: University of Pittsburgh, Ohio State, Columbia University, Albany Medical College, Tufts University, University of Massachusetts Medical College

Other Graduate Programs: University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, Forensic Science at John Jay College, University of Buffalo College of Pharmacy

Work: National Cancer Institute, Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Bear-Stearns, National Institutes of Health, Weill Medical College of Cornell University
