basically my poor gpa came from junior year because i was involved with so many clubs and other extracurriculrs (not listed here, so it was waaay too much that i could handle). i'm planning to write this experience as my colleg eessay, and i hope that the admissions officers can see that I have learned a lot from this experience, and that I am able to maintain a balance in the activities that i choose (which are the ones listed) and keep good grades, (which i should have a 3.8 uw) for first semester while still taking diffcult classes. my SATs arent' too shabby, at least i hope.

any insight would be great, and please be honest. thanks very much!!
i'm NOT applying for comp sci or tepper, because those are the difficult sub schools to get into. i will be applying to the easier sub schools at CMU because i will be going undecided.
