<p>Hello all,</p>

<p>I'm a first generation Hispanic student who is sort of taking a bet on my subjective points to overcome my weak objective points (low-ish ACT, GPA, etc). I feel that my ability to tell my story will have to do a huge part in deciding whether or not I get admitted to my schools. If anyone would be so kind as to read my essay, I would greatly appreciate it. </p>

<p>I have already submitted all of my applications so I am just looking for an opinion on the actual narrative itself. If you could just provide what sort of impact my essay would have on an admissions officer, that would be great.</p>

<p>Topic:
Some students have a background or story that is so central to their identity that they believe their application would be incomplete without it. If this sounds like you, then please share your story.</p>

<p>ALSO: My top 2 choices are Claremont McKenna (ED 2) and Occidental College. If any of you would like to provide some insight on how my essay will reflect the opinions of admissions officers at these two particular colleges, that would be greatly appreciated.</p>

<p>Don’t have people read it an comment now, that ship has sailed. Pointless. And ridiculous to think anyone here will have real admissions insight. I hope you also aimed for colleges where you stats are a match. </p>

<p>I second Brown Parent. No one who volunteers here reads apps for colleges. No adcoms or reps on CC vol on threads to read apps. </p>
