<p>On the UC App by the winter update on grades, I will have 40 units completed. (Taking 20 units in the Spring). Will that unit count look bad?</p>
<p>It’s ok. They just want to see you with 60 units done by the spring prior to transfer.</p>
<p>It’s not a good idea to have such a heavy load in the Spring (too many unknowns all hang in one term). If you are applying for really competitive majors, the UCs will prefer to see core requirements completed with grades. That means you should complete majority of your major prereqs and your English/Math requirements by the end of Fall term.</p>
