when i send in my application in november for fall '09 i will have 33 units. is that what most people have at the time or am i supposed to complete more? Also for the major requirements i have already started but do i need to complete all of them when i fill out my application or is it ok if i complete them by the spring prior to transfer?

You are required to complete 60 units and admissions requirements the Spring prior to transfer.

I suggest browsing the forum and reading the sticky.

You need to have 60 units done by the end of spring of 09.

i understand but when i apply they only see 33 units and by spring 09 i will have 60 so how will they see those units if they are completed after i apply?

You submit a transfer update which will show the grades you received in the fall semester when you applied.

On the application you put down all courses you have taken, and plan to take, along with the number of units they are. Thus, they can see that you will complete 60 by the end of spring.

It looks like you plan on getting 60 by the time you transfer (if not, you should), but you can apply with fewer units if you want. I wouldn't advise it however. Anyone who does so is not considered an upper division transfer (completing 60 = applying as upper division) and they still have to submit SAT scores and high school transcripts.

So complete your 60 and sit back and relax.

Good luck!
