unit party people

im an incoming freshman from socal (LA area by the beach) looking for some people (or possible roommate) that are gunna stay in the units that are down with blazing and drinking and just flat out partying and music

err go join a frat

iv never really considered myself a frat person, guess u would call me a stoner/tripper, just looking for people like me or people that are open to people like that

i think you'll probably find plenty there...

Yay, stereotypes!!! (if you mean that Berkeley is filled with these people, sorry if you meant that the poster can wait until he or she gets here)

But I'd say you'll find people, and that the co-ops might be a place to look.

well i had no problem finding fellow drinkers/smokers here, but i'd seriously consider joining a frat. outside of maybe 2 or 3 most the frats at berkeley aren't really filled with "frat" types. this is berkeley after all

well, im not stereotyping. I wouldn't really like it if Berkeley was all filled with that kind of ppl anyway... Im juss saying since Cal is such a big school, juss wait till you get there and you will find some ppl like you.

Maybe it was just me, but most of the frats I ran into were leadership/professional oriented and were chatting to me about all the internship opportunities and relations with Silicon Valley companies they had.

That's certainly not what I expected from a frat.

Some frats seem exclusively like that, others have that as a part of who they are- others seem not to care about it in the least. There are what, nearly 20something official frats? They vary.

allorion, you were talking to the professional frats which are completely different from social fraternities (they're coed, have no house, etc.). there are going to be 36 social fraternties at berkeley next year (subtract ATO and add KA). they definitely fit into different types though
