<p>why are some harder classes like math and chemistry only 4 units, and the GE's like history 2c or SE AS 5 units? shouldn't it be the other way around :</p>
<p>Yes, but it's not. An even worse example is Physics 4BL, which is 2 units, but requires double-digit hours of work outside of class.</p>
<p>Psh, Chem 20L is 3 units with 4 hours in class. Probably 3 hours of actual work
Chem 30AL is 4 units with 7 hours in class - all 7 hours will be used up.</p>
<p>This isn't included all the lab work done. It's not fair, yes, but deal with it, I guess...</p>
<p>one thing to consider is that for some majors - more demanding in terms of # of units - so look @ the units allotment for completing a history or english degree versus a science major - in the end it works out relative to the 180 unit graduation **** </p>
<p>or think about it this way - you have more opportunities to alter your GPA with 4 units per . . . and eh to **** it up as well -_-; but u know, less opps to increase/**** up your hum/soc-sci gpa yadadimean?! :rolleyes:</p>
