has any international student gotten an email
I think Javascript’s post says he moved to Seattle
but i think mail comes around 4 everyday, how did he get his so fast
omg im so scared. all i want is to get into this school
They are sending out decisions today. It doesn’t seem like there is a way to get it by 8am even if you’re living in Seattle. I’m not an expert in postal service but that just doesn’t sound correct.
Why is my heart beating so fast? I know i won’t get it today. Ugh
post offices in Seattle don’t even open until either 8:30 or 9:00 so I’m sorry but that’s really sketchy…
Amen @smartypants57 .
Has anyone gotten there letters?
@GoodGrief16 do you get a 500 service error message when you try to load it on your phone?
@Javascript98 you can appeal your decision. They probably thought you wouldn’t go to UW with your stats, so an appeal would show that you really do want to go there
Ok so when I filled out my application I lived about 30 mins away from where I do now. And I just remembered that they still have my old address, there is no point in changing it now as the decisions is already mailed. I was just debating whether or not I should drive 30 mins to go check the mail today or just wait a couple of days? Suggestions?
@meltingsoull It depends on how much it’s eating at you really. I can totally relate to the obsessive need to find out about a decision. What I would do in your position was check today just to ease you mind a little bit, and assuming it’s not there, wait a couple days before checking back.
@BiologyforLife I don’t think so, at least not for a while, when they send more info. The mailed letter is the one that will be your first notification about your decision.
Guys any idea when the emails to international students will be sent. I’m from India.
I’m kinda freaking out over here, UW is my dream school, and I’m super worried that I’ll be rejected. I got a 116 on the TOEFL and a 2130 on the SAT (770 Reading - 710 Math - 650 Writing) are my chances good? My HS average is also around 90%.
EDIT: I should also add that I’m from Brazil, if that matters.
I think I heard on the 18th not sure
I’m fairly certain they don’t reject people because their stats are /too high/ and they won’t attend. They accept a high amount of people and accept about 30% of them to attend, if I remember the stat correctly. Don’t forget it’s holistic admissions. Also I’m not certain that this whole getting a letter at 8am thing isn’t…bs…when it’s the only post you’ve ever made on this website…and also postal service doesn’t work like that.
I think most of us need to just chill out a bit and be patient. Letters are on the way.
Does the envelope look the same if it’s an acceptance or rejection? If assume and acceptance would be thicker (more stuff in it).
I get the “Shibboleth” thing
