Univeristy of Arizona BArch program

I just got accepted into the U of A’s five year BArch program with a scholarship. I was wondering if this program is any good. Although it is not as well known as Syracuse, cornell, cal poly, etc, is the workload lighter? Do students from this program feel like they recieved a strong education in architecture?

@Miranda073, Congratulations on an early acceptance! I don’t have any insider information on Arizona’s school of architecture, but Design Intelligence regularly includes them in their top 25 BArch programs.

Accredited BArch and MArch programs like Arizona’s must fulfill NAAB curriculum requirements so you can be assured that their graduates will be well prepared for careers in architecture.

Before you make a decision, I hope you’ll have a chance to visit U of A to see for yourself if how you like the culture of the university and of the architecture department. I think it’s important to find out what kind of summer internships students have held and what recent graduates have done after graduation.
