Universities that offer full rides?

I'm currently an incoming senior in HS, and I'm trying to decide which college to go to. I'd really like to attend a university that covers my costs. Are there any good universities that offer full rides for these credentials?
ACT: 34 (Reading: 36, English: 35, Math: 33, Science: 31)
Unweighted GPA: 4.0/Weighted: 4.74
My current class rank is 2 in a class of about 450
I took 1 AP class my sophomore year, 5 in my junior year and am taking 6 in my senior year.
I live in OK, but I'd like to consider universities that are out of state.

p.s. the sticky threads at the top of each forum, the Search function, and just reading some of the recent threads (there are currently 2 threads about full ride merit on the first page of threads) are good ways to research your area of interest.

Google is your friend.

How did you do on the PSAT? Are you a likely NMSF?

As for “good schools”, what do you consider to be a “good school”?

Free rides can be rare at schools that you probably have heard of with your stats.

I didn’t take the PSAT my junior year, unfortunately.
As for good schools, just something with decent academics and housing.
Thank you for the help!

Can you and/or your family pay anything?

My parents make about 60-70k a year, but I’m their only child so I don’t think we’d get much financial aid. I’m sure we could pay some, but not too much

Well, ask your parents how much they can pay each year, so you know what you’re dealing with.

Is that their “take home pay”? or is that their salaries from jobs? Are they self-employed/own a business?

Sounds like you need to apply to two types of schools: Schools that meet need and schools that give large merit scholarships for stats.

What is your major?

I’m sure they could pay 5-10k a year, but I’d rather not be a financial burden on them. That’s their take home pay from their jobs.
I’m still undecided on a major.

Talk to them. Find out how much they can pay each year. Ask them.

FA is not based on take home pay. It’s based on Adjusted Gross Income and assets.

I understand not wanting to be a burden, but it’s not likely you’re going to get a full ride at a school that is not a commuter or suitcase school, and that can be too risky to try. If you found that you didn’t like it cuz everyone goes home at night or weekends, then you won’t be able to easily transfer because transfers don’t get good aid.

You’ll have better choices if you and your family can pay something and all you’ll need is a full tuition scholarship.

I’ll start looking at full tuition scholarships, too. Thanks for all the help!

Look here:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/financial-aid-scholarships/1348012-automatic-full-tuition-full-ride-scholarships.html</a></p>

and do talk to your parents about how much they can contribute without being burdensome.

^In the link and section I gave the OP if they chose to look.
