I am currently attending Northwestern College and am a little dissatisfied with the art department here, so long story short, I am looking to transfer to a college/univ that has a strong art program. Quite a few people have told me to major/minor in business as well, so if you know a school with strong art and decent business departments it would be much appreciated. Also, I am really interested in pursuing a career in illustration... What schools should I be looking at?

I don't know if you have any geographic preferences, but SMU in Dallas may be an example of what you are looking for. Check out the second link to their Cox School of Business. Several business schools are streamlining their "minor" programs:

Good luck with your search.

Brown, Wash U. St Louis, Alfred University, Skidmore, UCLA, Towson University. This list should get you started.

Yale may be a reach, but it has the best studio art program in the country for universities.
UMich and UTexas also have strong art departments.

SUNY Purchase. Not sure if they have an illustration program. Check them out.

Illustration is tough, and no school is going to teach you everything you need to know. That doesn't mean it's a waste of time to look for good art programs, but most of the time in your day is spare time so you can learn a lot more in your spare time.

You have to consider the source of the advice you are given. Are the people who tell you to major or minor in business art people? If they are art people, do they know anything about the fields you are into? My whole life I have been told that I need to minor in something I can fall back on, but it turns out that plan is unrealistic.
