University Access to SAT

Is there a way for a University to find out I took the SAT more than once, if I only send them one SAT report (I took the SAT once but I got the best score across all components in only one test). I know about score choice but my question is if the university can find out if I took the SAT more than once

The vast majority of schools won’t care. Do you intend to apply to a school that requires all of the scores? Then you’ll have to see if it’s worth the risk of them finding out and, denying your application if found during the app process, rescinding your admission if found before you start at school, or throwing you out of school for lying about your record if found while you are in college. I personally don’t think it’s worth the risk.

College Board provides nothing to a college to even indicate you took a test if you exercise score choice and exclude one when sending others.

However, there is a way that colleges may learn your scores absent your telling them, and it depends on what your high school does. Many have previously reported being shocked to learn a college has the scores they withheld when ordering scores sent through College Board because their high school happens to put all their scores on the official high school transcript sent to colleges. Thus, you better determine what your high school does before attempting to withhold scores through College Board.

Most colleges take the best score so sending all rarely makes a difference. You are best to send all scores if they request it.
