Does anyone know what the average ACT score for the University of Illinois Chicago? It is not posted on their website, nor did I see it in any indepenedent postings.

Freshman students submitting ACT scores – 98%
Average ACT composite score – 24
ACT composite 25th-75th percentile range – 21-26

The middle 50% of freshmen last
year scored between a 21-26. The overall average is a 23, according to my ACT Prep teacher.

Hope that helped!

Most colleges give 25th and 75th percentiles rather than an average. Generally, these numbers are more useful anyways. If you’re under the 25th percentile, you’re not likely to be admitted unless you have a good hook. If you’re over the 75th percentile, you’re likely to be admitted unless you have some other major blemish on your application (though the certainty of even 75th percentile scorers getting in goes down as you approach the elite universities).

Lenke…

What is your situation?

Are you worried that your scores aren’t high enough for acceptance? Usually, non-flagship publics are more lenient with admissions…

Are you worried that your scores are too high for the school? If so, that may not be much of a problem if you’re in a very challenging major (like a STEM major) since those majors will have a greater concentration of students with the best scores on campus.
