<p>So can any students/parents of students already in AU that are enrolled in the University College program give some more information of it? What does it consist of? Would the guaranteed $20,000 merit scholarship be in replacement of or in addition to my AU Grant Aid? </p>

<p>Congrats. I’m not sure about the grant part of your question. My D is a freshman in UC and likes it a lot. She really enjoys the class and the sense of community it brings. She lives with kids who are all in UC (but different classes) so it is a way of making the school (already a good size) even more manageable for new students. The trips every week helped her to become familiar with DC quickly and now she really feels at home there. Next semester is the research part of UC, which is a unique opportunity for freshman. All in all, nothing but good things.</p>

<p>If anyone could tell me what the World Politics UC and the American Society UC are like, that’d be great! I know there’s a ton of info on the AU website, but it’d be great to hear about it from a student who has gone through it.</p>
