I got accepted EA with generous grant money. Northeastern says it gives out university grant aid based on a student’s academic achievement AND family’s demonstrated need. This money is guaranteed for all 8 semesters. Northeastern gave me my award based solely on the CSS profile submitted. Would northeastern recalculate my grant aid if a parent were to gain employment now? Can anyone speak from experience?
From my understanding, you will still submit your fafsa this January based on 2015 financials… If you had a substantial change from what you reported in the CSS and your 2015 financials, then yes, they can and probably will adjust your package.
Because it’s before official enrollment, I would not be as sure, but once you enroll, the Northeastern Promise should apply, meaning your grant aid will not decrease: http://www.northeastern.edu/financialaid/aid/thenortheasternpromise/
