University ID Number/Institution Student ID?

I need to send some documents to the Financial Aid Office for scholarships that I've won, but the forms ask for a "University ID Number" or "Institution Student ID". Problem is, I don't know what mine is, since I'm an incoming freshman. The FAO website says:

When sending email to the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office, always include your Student Identification Number (from your Cal 1 Card). Questions must be limited to financial aid topics.

I can't really get a Cal 1 card right now, since I think it requires one to be physically present at the campus to show a photo ID, and I'm OOS and not rich enough to fly in just to get an ID. So, my question is, how do I find out my ID number?

https://calnet.berkeley.edu/myi/ids/list

So, the 8 digit number is the number that will be on my Cal 1 Card?

yes. 10char

:-/ the only ID number I see is 8 digits. It says that the only service using the ID is “CalNet Directory Service”. The only other ID listed is my email, and I’m quite sure that’s not right. I guess I could try emailing FAO using my Berkeley email and telling them that I don’t know my ID.

log into myberkeleyapp. its on the right, and it should be 8 digits beginning with a 2.

fwiw, “10char” refers to this site’s attempt to ensure all posts have at least 10 characters, which clearly makes them all meaningful and rich

^what bsd said. i didn’t realize it might have caused confusion, sorry about that. the ID is 8 digits.
