Each college and university posts projected Costs of Attendance on its website. For community colleges, there should be separate COAs for students who live at home, students who live on their own, and for international students.
The students I work with here in the Far North Rural Midwest, are asked to budget at least $1000 each month for living expenses. California has to be significantly more expensive.
