What's the Cheapest University at US for International Students?

Is There a University like 10,000$ everything included or cheaper?

whoa
$10,000 (a year, im assuming/including tuition, board, textbooks, etc.) is hard for even U.S. citizens to get. Especially for universities that don't have billion dollar endowments like Harvard - they can't afford to give as much financial aid, and they depend a lot on tuition to keep the college going.

I would say community college is the cheapest.

Can you apply for a merit scholarship, or apply as an internatioanl student needing financial aid?

Yes I can apply I have a 1700 SAT and 3.9/4.0 GPA do I have a chance for full ride scholarships?

Look for the cheapest community college.

How can you have nearly perfect grades but such a low SAT score? Nevertheless, check college guidebooks; there are colleges that, although nominally expensive, offer excellent merit and need based aid to attract a diverse (including geographically diverse) student body such that you (and/or your family's) share of total expenses could be limited to $10,000.

All my international friends didn't do that well on the SAT. English is not their first language (or second, for that matter), and that ends up bringing down their writing and critical reading scores. Both of my friends had 3.6 or higher GPA in high school and a poor SAT score like the topic creator's.

Virginia Tech, Clemson.

VT isn't $10,000 a year- Lord I wish it were- my savings account would be in much better shape if so! :) Here is a link for this year's international students costs from the VT website:

I don't know how it compares to other schools, maybe 30+K is a bargain.....

crazyronaldo,

You need to take this question to the international students forum. Someone there might have a suggestion for you.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/international-students/

are you interestd in art, architechture, or engineering? and if so are you REALLY REALLY REALLY good? I believe Cooper Union is free if you get in.

If you look at 2nd or 3rd tier state schools in the south, you will probably find something in that price range.

a few schools known to give international students tons of scholarship money:

University of New Orleans

Loyola New Orleans

Michigan State University

Lynn University (Boca Raton, Fl)

Florida International University (Miami, Fl)

American University (DC)

Boston University

Purdue University (Indiana)

Also if ur looking for cheap tuition, most state operated schools in Florida are regarded as the cheapest public schools in the US so u might want to look into University of Florida, Florida State University, University of South Florida and University of Central Florida

I'm interested in Computer Science and Virginia Tech doesn't give scholarships and it's around 30,000$

you might want to consider a canadian university.

There are few universities you can look at that offer tuition for around 3500 dollars a semester. I think in Nevada and California there are quite a few. The City University of New York offers tuition around 4200 a semester and it is in convinient location, accessible with subway. You don't need a car, while in California and Nevada you might need one. There are many international students and i guess that is why it is kinda cheaper. Depending on what you study and what you are going for. Laguardia college which is again part of the City University of New York system offers tuitions for as half as lower as 4200. CUNY combines many colleges and depending on which one you choose to study in, your tuition will be calculated. I think my friends are paying 2500 per semester but am not sure. Utah offers community college programs for 4300 per semester two year degree programs only. Universities in Utah cost around 6500-7500 $ per semester. I have checked many options. New York seems the best. I, myself and thinking of transfering there.

I believe Connecticut university gives out nice financial aid to internationals. Over at the essay forum a lot of the international students who sent me their essays were applying to Connecticut for that reason.

Your grades seem up to it so if you want to study engineering, look at Franklin W. Olin College Of Engineering or Cooper Union. Other free colleges are Berea College, College Of The Ozarks and Webb Institute

Try University of Houston
