Hello Everyone. I signed the University Link contract with UCSD back in 2012 therefore this is the last year it would be valid. When I sent out my application this past November I was sure I was going to meet the minimum GPA (3.0). I ended up falling short and receiving a 2.8. I know I’m pretty much done and they will reject me but does anyone know if I receive a 3.0 by the end of this semester they will consider accepting me. I already send an email to an admissions officer regarding my concerns, but I wanted to know if anyone has any experience with this or any similar situations with the TAG programs. I am freaking out because I mistakenly only applied to this school thinking I was going to meet the minimum GPA and I don’t want to wait another year to apply.
I thought the GPA req for that program was like 3.5? 3.0 sound so low…
It is 3.5 now, but the one i signed was 3.0. Theres two different ones going around. I think in 2014 they made it to a 3.5
I signed the contract the same year as you. I don’t remember the wording on the contract in verbatim but I looked up the wording for the current contract and it says:
“Earn a cumulative 3.5 UC GPA by the end of fall term prior to fall enrollment at UC San Diego, and maintain a 3.5 UC GPA through the end of spring term prior to fall enrollment at UC San Diego.”
If I remember correctly, I think our version also said by the end of fall term prior to fall enrollment which would mean that you would have had to have above a 3.0 at the end of last semester. Of course don’t take my word for it, this is just my opinion based on what the current contract says and my hazy memory of what ours says.
Fuck my life, well if I don’t get in its all my fault, if thats the case ill apply to any cal state open in the spring. Sigh*
Did you apply this year or a previous year ? @goodkidmaadcity
The Link program is not fair
