Not completely sure this is the right place for this question, but I was hoping someone on here had some experience with Arizona engineering programs, specifically computer science. I’m stuck between UA and ASU and they’re both so similar that it’s hard to figure out which one is better for a computer science degree. I think Phoenix probably offers more in terms of career possibilities than Tucson does, but just in terms of thecomputer science programs at their respective universities, which one is better in your opinion? Does one do better in some area, or is one lacking in some area?
Really, they are going to be similar enough that you ought to pick based on factors such as price or whether you’d rather live in Tempe or Tucson during college. Both schools are big enough and well enough known to have fairly large recruiting footprints not limited to their own cities.
As for the specifics of specialties within CS, I can’t really help you much there.
The different areas within CS will be more important for a graduate student than an undergraduate so that should not be a major consideration.
ASU has a better Honors College (Barrett) for now. UA is catching up but the new Honors College won’t be open for Fall 2018.
Have you checked both? Visited?
