University of California 2010 Admission Rates

<p>Of the 82,056 in-state California applicants to UC, 71.6% were accepted to at least one of the nine undergraduate campuses. That compares with 72.5% in 2009 and 75.4% in 2008.</p>

<p>UCLA accepted 21% of in-state applicants, compared to 21.4% last year. UC Berkeley accepted 24.5%, compared to 29.5% last year. The acceptance rate at the other campuses were: UC San Diego, 36.8%; UC Santa Barbara, 41.7%; UC Davis, 44.5%; UC Irvine 45.4%; UC Santa Cruz, 64.9%; UC Riverside, 77.4%; and UC Merced, 78%.</p>

<p>UCLA and UC Merced did not waitlist, The other 7 campuses waitlisted a total of 10,712 in-state applicants.</p>

<p>The admission rate for out-of-state and international students was 14 percent, compared to 12 percent last year.</p>

<p>Admission offers to out-of-state and international applicants rose most at UC Berkeley, to 27 percent of the total admission offers, up from 14 percent in 2009.</p>
