Also the reason for the junior year fail other than taking the hard classes, was that i had a personal loss in my family in the beginning of the year and that individual meant a lot to me..... he went through a lot of pain and passed away. I want to base my essay on this,a nd how it affected me so psychologically that i went into clinical depression and how i changed as a person from it.

Do u guys think with a strong essay, and these many extracurriculars, and a strong gap during my 1st semester of senior year i can have a good shot at : UCLA, UC DAVIS,UCSD,UCSB,UC SANTA CRUZ, UC RIVERSIDE, UC MERCED...also i am a california resident. Please be 100% honest.

Any ideas regarding my essays, how i should approach it?

You might want to go to a California community college… Get involved, make a high gpa (4.0 college gpa if possible) and you will have a much better chance

You barely qualify for admission to any UC college at all. Your GPA is much too low for any campus other than Merced, Riverside, and - as a reach - Santa Cruz. You seem to have posted similar inquiries on other threads. The answers won’t vary. It is easy enough to look up their data sets - your GPA is well below average, and they will hardly look at your senior grades. Look at some CSUs, if your choices are limited to public colleges. Otherwise, you might well get into Whittier, Redlands, Chapman, LMU, Azusa, et al.
