I live in Canada and I did not take American History course…
It is offered at my school, but as a Grade 11 course.
I know that I could take SAT subject test… but it’s probably too late to study for that.
It doesn’t really matter if I don’t apply for UCs, but it would be nice if I could.

Do all the internationals have to complete American History requirement?
There is no exception?

UC’s dont give financial aid to out-of-state or international students since funding comes from California taxpayers. Non California residents pay full fees. If your school doesn’t offer US history, you have to switch to another class.

@"aunt bea" The thing is though, my school does offer US history, but as a Grade 11 course. I mean, I could take it even though I’m in Grade 12, but it’s too late to change courses. But I’ve been taking World History courses since Grade 11.

@infnt7ju: On the UC website, it does not specify that as an International Student you have to take US History. I suggest you email UC admissions or call to clarify. You are required to take a US History course as a condition to graduate from a UC.

@GMTplus7 I meant to say that with financial aid, I could definitely go. But even without it, I could still go for my education, because UC is one of my top choices.

@jym626 @grgscrjr I took music all 4 years throughout my high school years but I dont get what that has to do with fulfilling US History requirement…
