mehhhh

When are we supposed to receive decisions?

errrr *** is this???

Your academic history indicates you are currently enrolled in a college. However, the coursework you have entered does not include either courses you currently have in progress or those you plan to take (or both).

ok i ignored it, submitted. woot.

Are you not taking any courses this semester?

Edit: Hmmm nm i see others are having the same problem, must be some stupid glitch.

Hey guys when does UCLA announce their decisions?

that just means you're not taking winter classes? ignore it, just make sure you posted your spring schedule.

Early May. Last year they released them around 1 or 2pm on May 3, 2006.

Do they care what grades you received in non-transferrable classes?

YES, just record ALL college work. Ever.

But will the non-transferrable classes count toward my UC GPA?

^ good question. I'm wondering as well.

Also, I submitted it and came to the Receipt page, but I'm not getting an email confirmation (it's been like 2 hours). Anybody else not get it? Should I be worried?

"But will the non-transferrable classes count toward my UC GPA?"

Nope, only UC transferrable classes count towards the GPA the UCs use.

shpeel, i got my email immediately after i submitted. you probably haven't gotten it yet cause of the huge inflow of apps now?? i dunno, if you have the receipt and was given the print option to print your application, it's complete. otherwise, you can just log back in and if it goes to the receipt page again, you've submitted! so no worries

Hey guys, I'm trying to predict my Fall grades and realistically my GPA has the possibility of at best raising 0.04 or at worst falling by 0.01 or somewhere in between.

So basically my current GPA is 3.79, after Fall I predict it to be somewhere around 3.78-3.83. Is this a big enough difference to matter?

Maybe, it depends on the major and the school. 3.83 is higher than 3.78.

It's a * huge * difference.

Even when your GPA is 3.795 (very close to 3.8), but still not quite that, you're still considered to be in the 3.7 category.

However, when your GPA is just even slightly above 3.8 (like 3.801), then you'll be considered to be in 3.8 category.

3.7 and 3.8 are HUGE difference.

Huge?

I feel like a failure now.

Seriously, don't set your goal to transferring.
Think about life AFTEr transferring.

When you apply to graduate school, your ENTIRE undergrad GPA will matter, and if you think you have high enough GPA to transfer and start to slack off and get B's, then your GPA will fall, and the lower your chance of grad. school entrance be.

Even if your GPA is like 3.95 and planning on transferring to a less impacted major (where the avg GPA is like 3.3 something), don't feel relieved and slack off. They will all add up for your college GPA.
