<p>okay, am i the only one who no longer has the credential check link on the university of chicago application page? i checked in over the weekend-- either saturday or sunday-- and even though my dean sent my recommendation in over a month ago, as of this weekend, it was still marked as not received. since i applied for the early alternative deadline, i feel like i am going to be automatically rejected because of this. needless to say, I AM FREAKING OUT. but i'm still curious-- do you think there is a reason why the link is missing from my application page?</p>

<p>I don't have it any more either. I applied for the early alternative, as well. I think it means that your application is finally complete because both my high school transcript and one college recommendation were marked unprocessed, but now the link has vanished. Coincidentally, I received a phone call from an alumni for interview today. I hope I am correct.</p>

<p>according to the website, the notification date for early alternative applications is late-april, while the date for regular decision applicants is mid-may. good luck everyone, and thank you for assuaging my fears!</p>

<p>Does anyone know how they let us know? Do they let us know online? By email at least? Or do we have to wait for snail mail?</p>
<p>i'm pretty sure that Chicago notifies via snail mail...at least that's how they do it with undergrad admissions.</p>
