Play the cello, was in Regional Orchestra

Awards:

Prizes from writing competitions
Math competition medal

Work Experience:

Worked as aide to CFO at the Community Redevelopment Agency of LA
Internship at a computer repair shop

Essays: Extremely good.

Alright thanks guys, also chances for UC Berkeley?

How can you have 4.0 frosh, 4.0 soph, 4.0 junior, and then get a 4.2 weighted overall? I don't understand.

I would wait and apply RD. I'm guessing your junior year classes got harder and thus the lower GPA. You need to take the hardest classes senior year and do really well. They will want to see those grades. Then, given the legacy, you'll have a shot.

Hey, I think you have a shot, especially because I've heard that UChicago places a lot of emphasis on essays. The legacy and EA will give you a boost too.

Ok thanks. Yeah, I had a 4.0 Unweighted GPA until this year, in which my overall unweighted GPA dropped to 3.7. Yeah, so I'll get all A's first semester of senior year then. Hopefully, that will help.
