<p>I posted this a few weeks ago but I unfortunately didn't recieve any replies, and would really appreciate feedback. So here it is again:</p>

<p>I've submitted my application (EA) for Chicago and was wondering if I might get an opinion on my chances of being accepted.</p>

<p>GPA: 3.63/4.55
ACT: 34
SAT: 2180 (770 math 750 reading 650 writing)
SAT II: Physics 800 Chem 740</p>

<p>My courseload has been fairly rigorous so I'm not worried about that, I have 5's on Calc AB/BC and Physics AP exams and a 4 on English Comp.</p>

<p>Extracurriculars: Varsity Swimming for 3 years, with conference qualifying times
Marching Band for 4 years, with a total of 8 grand champions under my belt
Jazz Band, which received all superior ratings at North Carolina Jazz Festival
Volunteer as a packer for lunches for Raleigh's homeless
Virtuoso pianist with advanced repertoire, been playing for 9 years
Lifeguard for the YMCA, and certified for Lifeguarding, First Aid, AED, CPR, and Oxygen by the Red Cross.</p>

<p>I am a NM semifinalist (and hopefully finalist!) and have been a member of Tri M (music version of NHS) for 2 years.</p>

<p>I chose "Whats so odd about odd numbers?" and was told my essays were very strong by my English teachers. I also included the optional prompt (favorite books, artists, etc.)</p>

<p>If there's any other information that would be helpful I'll be more than happy to share it, just ask.</p>

<p>Well, Chicago doesn’t look at your SAT writing score which will help. Your ACT is strong and your subject tests are good. Your GPA might be considered marginal, but that may be offset by your essays, assuming you’ve done a great job. Your EC look really good! What IS so odd about odd numbers, by the way? My son is applying and he chose ‘why are you here?’ Good luck.</p>

<p>Great ACT score. GPA is only issue but can be overlooked. Your essays need to be creative. But I think your chances of admission are strong!
