University of Cincinnati Freshman Self-Selection Process

Hello! I am an incoming freshman at the University of Cincinnati. I filled out my housing application exactly at 3pm on March first (the first opportunity for non- honors freshman to apply for housing). UC posted something about a self-selection process depending on the week you apply. Can anyone tell me how that works or what the chances will be for me to get a single dorm?

Thanks!

“May 15th- Self-Selection Process BEGINS. Look for emailed instructions by May 11 which will include a randomly generated lottery time slot, which you are to use to log back in to your housing application and select from any available bed space. You will have access to room selection from that date and time and can also go back in and change your room until Housing Services closes the process on August 1.”

it means you will be able to choose which room and floor you want in the dorm you selected…if i remember correctly.

^^^^ This. When I called Housing, they said you will be assigned a specific date and time to log into the system and select the specific bed/room/floor/building. Since you applied early (March1-7), you will be among the first group of students allowed to select…Good luck!
