Chances EA UConn? TYSVM!

Hey all! Sorry to post another one of these, just really anxious since I've wanted to go to this school for 6 years. I'm a senior at the #2 best ranked public high school in the state of connecticut. I applied first choice Undecided Business, Second choice: ACES...My stats include:

3.43 GPA Unweighted (school doesn't weight)
Sats: 1170/1600
CR: School doesn't rank, if i had to guess upper 20%

Course load: Beyond requirments including an extra math course taken sophmore year amd 1 Ap this year.

President of 5 different clubs, member of another 4...

Played 2 recreational sports: basketball and baseball

Won 2 state economic titles, sponsered by Uconn.

Work 15 Hours a week at a local job.

Community Services and Volunteer hours are endless (too many to list)

Recomendations were from 2 alumni teachers who know me very well

I applied on October 11th and havnt heard anything back. My friend who has the same gpa but higher SAT scores heard back a few days ago and he applied 2 weeks after me?

Any advice?

Sorry again for such a long post...
Thanks all!

The only issue is that your SAT is a bit low, but not by too much. They prefer at least a 1200/1600.

Community service is not the most important thing. I would say that you have a decent chance, provided that your other activities are in-depth enough.

Winning two awards sponsored by the university could be a plus.

It seems you are on the verge of admission. Many students like you have applied to UConn and it seemed just as many got in as they did rejected. All I can say is…good luck!

how important are my SAT scores, in comparison to my GPA, “large” resume, and Recommandations? I worked so hard in the past 2 years to make sure I got REALLY involved in my schooL

The thing is that the lowest GPA they want is a 3.4, so if your SAT does not make it, you will have to rely on a good essay and a good resume.

But GPA is typically most important. I was just concerned because your GPA is on the lower end of their accepted spectrum.

what would you say my odds are? when do you think I would here back?
