University of Delaware Class of 2022

My major hasn’t disappeared yet, nor have I received an email about wanting midyear grades… I wonder what is taking so long for my decision?! Any thoughts?!

@mkcblackberry would you mind sharing stats? Also how long has it been since you got your acceptance letter? WE are hoping for some merit to make Delaware a contender over Maryland!

@STF4717 I have a 3.7 uw gpa, 4.3 w gpa, 1480 SAT (710 english, 770 math). Also, it was about 2 weeks after I got my acceptance letter.

I called the admissions office to see why it was taking 14+ weeks to get a decision. The lady that answered the phone said she didn’t know why it was taking so long and it looked like my app was just frozen. She took my number and said she was referring my app so a decision would be made. That was last Monday and I have heard nothing so I may call again this week.

Got Accepted- Psychology major.
It says my portal was updated on January 26,2018. Applied on December 31st.

DId anyone from the school of engineering get accepted by chance?

My DD got into the Engineering program, and Honors.

DD? was he ED or RD

Has anyone that applied in state for Mathematics major been accepted yet?

Have any bio majors heard back yet??

i applied Engineering in Oct. and am still waiting to hear back. I emailed admissions and all they told me was to keep checking the portal which has not changed since i applied.

My son applied Chemistry major in early October and was accepted in November

@person2018 my DD is my dear daughter, lol.

She was accepted to UDel, Chemical Engineering, Honors back in November or so. I guess she applied about a month earlier?

She is from out of state.

It has been almost 14 weeks and portal has not changed. Daughter just got another email asking her to apply!! Admissions claimed 2 weeks ago that her application wasn’t missing anything but still no change. Meanwhile, she has heard back from other large schools that only took 6-8 weeks so I wonder if she has somehow slipped through the cracks of admissions. She has other really good offers but since this is one of her top choices I feel like she can’t make a decision until she hears one way or another from Delaware. Is this typical of Delaware? I just want her to move on at this point and focus on the offers she has.

@jlg0143 ,I have had success with the online message option on the UD website. If you go to the UD undergraduate admissions section (http://www.udel.edu/apply/undergraduate-admissions/) and look at the bottom right corner you will see a blue bar with a picture of a white envelope and the words “leave a message”. I have sent messages during office hours and have received a prompt response. I recently sent a message about merit scholarships and the responder provided the name and email for an admissions counselor who I then emailed and received a response by the end of the day. Hope this helps and your daughter receives a decision very soon. Good luck!

@rutgers8081 she tried the online message option a few weeks ago and got no response. She also emailed them directly with no answer. When she called, the woman was very nice but only said they had everything and yes, it has been unusually long.

@jlg0143 my daughter accepted Nov 3 and got the email asking her to apply about 3 weeks ago.

We have been waiting since December 13th still no updates

Submitted app nov 15, didn’t get confirmation email until dec 13. She is the only remaining person at her school who has not heard back, with others hearing back in 3-4 weeks. Does this mean anything?

Received a portal change January 12th saying to send (test scores,mid-year grades, optional essay) and received another email January 25th asking for mid-year grades. Has anyone received this and sent in mid-year grades? If so, have you received a decision after sending them?
