What date will University of Delaware mail out decision letters? Small envelope rejected, large accepted? Can you be put on a waiting list?

Last year UD began to post online OOS acceptances on applicants’ MyUD sites on Friday, March 11. However, you have to wait for the acceptance package to arrive for this to be offical (they began to arrive on the following Monday). Acceptance packets arrive in a large 9" by 12" envelope. I believe shortly thereafter rejection letters or offers for placement on waiting list arrive in a regular size envelope. In the past many applicants have been accepted from the waiting list so I would recommend that if you really want to go to UD that you accept placement on the list if that is the initial notification. Hope this info is helpful. Best of luck to you.

I read my admission decision to the honors program today. Check your blue hen home, but you won’t get an email nor an envelope for a while (I think?)

My DS got his big yellow envelope in the mail today, we’re in NJ.

The large, bright yellow envelope arrived here in Philly by mail yesterday. The envelope says “Congratulations” on the front. You can’t miss it.

Inside is a colorful brochure personalized with the students name. I can’t help thinking that it must take a lot of extra time/money for UD to personalize the packets like this. Think we would rather have received our decision earlier than have UD take the time to print up these brochures with the students name on them!

Got my son’s packet in the mail today (Maryland). Came with the scholarship and financial aid info also.

Like the others have said, the letter is in a bright yellow packet with the word congratulations in bright blue on the left hand side.

I agree with the notification process. It would have been nice to know their decision sooner, but at the same time the packets were put together quite nicely.
