University of Florida 2025 — Regular Decision

is your 4.4 weighted gpa based on UF’s core gpa calculation??

I’m not sure, how would I figure that out?

I have repeatedly on CC that test scores are going to be lower this year. The primary rationale that has been stated is that students did not have an opportunity to take it multiple times. I have no argument against that position. It sounds reasonable. But, if true, doesn’t that diminish the reliability of the tests as far as predicting college success? Thoughts?

Yes and that is why we probably won’t see them used at all in a few years. The tests as they are currently used most reliably measure how much test prep you could afford (as well as how hard you tried at the test prep).

That’s true.

Only English, math, science, social science, & foreign language are counted in the core gpa

A=4, B=3, C=2, D=1, F=0

Add 1 point for AP, IB, AICE, or Dual Enrollment with a grade of C- or better

Add 0.5 point for Honors, Pre-IB, or Pre-AP course with a grade of C- or better grade

Dual enrollment must be core but all AP/IB & AICE get 1.0 added

If u applied after the priority deadline when can you expect your decision?

Admission Decision Notification - For applicants not meeting the November 16 deadline March 26

No - but it’s why you should find the “right” school, not the highest ranked.

It’s been a recent mover as has been FSU but perceptions are ingrained in the mind - so your UCs, your UVA, UNC, Michigan, W&M are always going be the best of the best even if they fell.

Hey all! I received a “Your guide to decision day” email, I think yesterday and my portal also says that UF received my application on 11/15…but I did not seem to receive any kind of decision…such as no accepted/rejected/waitlisted. I am worried anxious but did this happen to anyone else?? Side note: I am also OOS, I don’t know if that had any bearing on why I did not receive a definite decision today

Decisions are tomorrow

About the same as OSU and PSU, except inside Florida and in the midwest. In the midwest those would be above UF and in Florida vice versa.

Thank you for such a quick response!!! My brain is so tired from senioritis, school and other things at home that I got my dates mixed up!

All this time I have been thinking that OOS National Merit Finalist pay the difference between instate and out of state which would be about $22k per year, which is an absolute bargain.

But now I’m reading that out of state tuition is waived.

Can anyone verify this? If you are a NMF and list UF as your first choice, is it a full ride even for out of state?

If so, that is amazing.

  1. How much is the scholarship award amount?
The award amount is equivalent to the per term institutional cost of attendance (COA), provided by the Florida Board of Governors, minus the sum of the Bright Futures (BF) award and National Merit® award (NM).
The institution may adjust an award based on a student’s other qualifying awards in order to

25.What is included in the cost of attendance (COA)?
The COA is the total estimated cost to attend college full-time per term and may include, but is not limited to, tuition and fees, on-campus room and board, books, supplies, travel, and miscellaneous expenses.

I’d have to respectfully disagree. imo, UF is closer to schools like UVA and UNC than PSU OSU Rutgers etc. To add, the engineering program is very strong.

@flprepaidmom My D has 45 transferring credits, if you add in Summer B, basically you start the fall as a junior, so there you go, done with Pace. Right?

@MrRobot2018 I think it’s pretty well regarded. I graduated in '91, Accounting major, recruited by a big 6, moved to NYC. We had a great NYC Gator alumni association. I honestly think it’s what you make of it, and who you are.

I think you have to be in Pace for a minimum of one year
