Is there a list of pre req and gen ed classes?
A very heartbreaking OOS rejection for my daughter.
ACT SS 31
5AP
7 Honors
94 GPA
Captain Varsity Kickline, VP of her club, Competitive Dancer, Community service, and what I thought was a great essay!
Congratulations to all who were accepted!
Thank you!!!
I’m a little late but I’m an OOS student who was accepted!
1410 SAT
95.5208 GPA
6 APs & 2 DE (I got a 5 on Biology, which is my major)
UF has been my top school since freshmen year, I just hope I end up getting enough financial aid to afford everything!
FYI on the same parents group on FB, parents with Pace students have said you are allowed to take classes on campus. That UF won’t tell you, but you can. That some Pace students choose not to transition back to fully on campus, because of the flexibility they have to take courses in and out of campus.
My daughter was accepted!
OOS
4.3 GPA
1450 SAT
You know I am sending my love @H0llyw00d . This is UFs loss. The news this week will be good. I feel it (and I am usually negative about these things). Sending love from FL to NY
My daughter was accepted for fall!
OOS
96.75 GPA
Every AP/Honors available
30 ACT(31 superscore)
Thank you! Same to you!
Does that mean they can show up and listen to the class in person on campus if a seat is available in the class that day?
I don’t know the details. I recommend joining the group and asking there.
@Famfun yes I have heard pre-Covid they could get approval to sit in on lectures. The still take tests online.
Accepted to the Gator Engineering at Santa Fe program
4.08 W GPA
33 ACT
Class Rank 85/585
Can they attend every class on campus? How does this work? Do they just sneak in essentially?
My son was also accepted into the Santa Fe engineering. We are OOS so I think that’s a no. Do you know if it is sortof a waitlist type of thing and they could get admitted to the main campus in May?
I’m a hs senior and applied to Florida, UGA. My gpa was a 3.87 (below average at each school). I had a 34 act and got accepted to both. I don’t think it’s fair to judge your chances based on median GPA, as it is often very subjective and essays are just as important. Just my thoughts though
Good question and I would love to hear more from those with knowledge, but I was under the impression on-line classes are sometimes/often asynchronous (or something like that). Meaning, they don’t necessarily have regular class lectures or in-person meetings, if any, rather a digital syllabus with videos and learning modules. This is probably one of the top issues some people have against PaCE and how learning has changed during the pandemic.
If there are PaCE classes which are in fact just video replay of a live class filled with regular admits, it might be interesting to get an idea roughly what portion of their schedule this could be possible.
I don’t know. I just saw it in the parents group. The mom said anyone that need info to PM her.
D21 accepted OOS for Fall Term. 4.0 UWGPA, 4.7 WGPA (I think the UF GPA worked out to 4.6). 1320 SAT, 8 AP classes, top 15 in class of nearly 400. Good not great EC’s, thought her Common App essay was strong, and pretty sure she got some good teacher rec’s (if UF even considers those). Came as a a bit of a surprise after getting accepted to Summer Term at FSU last week, but I always thought this would be a good fit for her if her #1 (UNC) didn’t work out. She did get into UNC and we thought things were over, they still probably are, but UF has given her something to think about. We may go visit, if nothing else just to travel somewhere after this last year.
People have mentioned an admitted students virtual tour - does anyone have a link to that? I watched the 14 minute virtual tour on the “Visit Us” page, but this sounds like something different.
Congratulations to everyone who got admitted, and good luck to everyone else, I know many of you have some other great options.
