My daughter is OOS too and if I remember correctly, it was about $21.85K for Fall and Spring and around $16.5k for Summer of 2022 according to the financial aid portal.

Yes, for example my son started college with 9 credits, then took 6 during Summer B. He took 15 first semester and 15 second semester. So he is one semester ahead. He is taking 6 more credits during Summer A, then 12 credits in the fall for a lighter load. He is renting an apartment which is a twelve month lease so it all makes sense.
You are getting off cheap. My younger D is going OOS. We will end up paying close to $300,000 after 4 years. Florida schools are the best bargain

@erd1020 Michigan is a great school and certainly has better reputation nationwide than UF. Everyone has to weigh all of the factors to decide what is best for them.
Regarding the placement of UF students outside of Florida, plenty find jobs with the top investment banks, consulting firms and tech companies.
Here is a link to the placements for the MSF program for the last 2 years.
Students have landed internships and full-time jobs with Goldman Sachs, Boston Consulting, Bain, Ernst and Young, RBC, BoA, Credit Suisse, UBS, Evercore, JP Morgan, Guggenheim, Stifel, Deutsche Bank, and others. These positions are from California to NY and places in between, roughly half are NYC.
This is just for the Finance MSF program. It may be the same for other disciplines, not sure.
So, the opportunities are there for UF grads, just like most top state schools.

How would my daughter know if she has a merit scholarship? She’s National Merit Finalist…but she’s super busy at school and hasn’t check even one portal for the schools she’s been accepted to in a long while…so maybe if I can prod her along with some information she might check

If she is coming to UF then she needs to rank us 1st with National Merit - the will let us know and on a rolling basis and we’d code the Benacquisto that she would see on ONE.UFL.EDU on her Financial Aid page
