I applied back in November and I am still waiting. I just spoke to my advisor and she said I should get a decision next week. Everyone I’ve talked to has been telling me I have nothing to worry about, but after reading some of these posts I’m getting worried.

One thing I think it’s worth mentioning: my Physics 2 course has a different number at my school, but it is the exact same course they offer at UF (same material and it is calculus based). I sent them the syllabus and my advisor said the committee will review it and decide whether they will count it or not.

That Physics 2 course has me really worried. It is exactly the same course but because of the numbering, it is entirely up to UF to accept it or not. I’ll let you guys now what happens next week.

@elduro You have nothing to worry about regarding your physics
If so, that would mean UF won’t accept out of state students  I transfered from texas and got accepted while I had the courses “PHYS2425 and PHYS2426 Principles of Physics I and II”, while I had “MATH2413, MATH2414 and MATH2315 Calculus I, II and III”
They even accept international students and those courses can be a whole other world  They know how it is

@2TeeLe @chainy the prerequisites thing is kind of weird. I applied to the College of Engineering with only 3 prereqs out of 6 I need to transfer. I am taking 2 of those prereqs now and will be taking 2 in the summer and I got accepted back in March. The condition is to complete those tracking courses but I am seeing people being denied for that. Maybe they are considering that now because they have less spots and still a lot of applicants.

Has anyone received their financial package already?

Hello, I applied to UF on March 1st. They say not to apply early, because a majority of the decisions happen towards the end of the school year.
GPA: 3.2 Preprof GPA: 3.6

Major: Animal Sciences (CALS)
College of Agricultural and Life Sciences

Anyway, around April 2nd my status changed to, “Your application has been referred to your college for a final decision.” I contacted the dean for my college major. She told me that CALS decisions deadline for transfer is July 15th. So anyone who applied to CALS should receive a decision before that date. My question is, is there anyone who has a CALS major that has been accepted???!!! I’m still waiting to here back. Thanks

@Test90 I appreciate your reply. That’s one thing I don’t have to stress about now. By the way, congratulations on getting accepted.

So who in this discussion has heard back??

Okay so I called them today, and this lady from Business department told me that if you’re transferring, you have to wait until the end of May or beginning of June for a decision, that is because they want to wait for most school to finish this semester and see the grades for this semester before picking out students.

Hey 2TeeLe, I just got accepted to the BABA program of Heavener this past week. Might not have to wait that long for your decision.

BABA is a rolling admission. As long as you meet the criteria you’re accepted. If you are applying to anything other than BABA you will have to wait until the end of May at the earliest

I got accepted!!! Hopefully most of you will get the good news, too.

By the way, does anyone know what’s the next step after getting accepted?

Congrats
Everyone should post their stats when getting a decision, so the next class might ve more information  (I know how I desperately looked for stats  )

@elduro
If you want to attend, the next steps would be working on your holds, such as your vaccination record and registering for orientation.

So over the weekend my status changed from being referred to my college for a final decision to this: “Your application for admission to the University of Florida for the Fall 2015 term has been referred to your college for a final decision. You may contact your college for further information concerning your admissions decision.”

Anyone know what that means? I’m transferring to the Marine Sciences major at CALS and have 6/7 pre-reqs done and am currently taking the 7th this spring semester. I applied at the end of January.

Hopefully I will be able to call them tomorrow morning!

@bekah330 your college is the one that decides whether they are going to accept you or not. Your application is in the last step. You should know within 2-4 weeks. Maybe less, maybe more. You need to wait a little more

@bekah330 my status has been that way for over two weeks now. I’m a CALS major too. I contacted the Dean, she said, " You will know your decision anytime before July 15th." So my thoughts are, they are working on summer admissions still. Once they are done with those, they will move on to Fall. Which is us! CALS is one of the last colleges that people hear back from. Patience is definitely something they play with

For any CALS majors. I have created a Thread for just us. We are one of the last colleges to hear from. You can post your stats and get feedback from other CALS majors. My thread is: University of Florida CALS Applicants (Fall 2015) Transfers
