I sent my app in September 3rd, after about a week it said it was “received and being evaluated” and once my transcripts were received and GPA was calculated, it would be sent to the college I applied to for a final decision. They received my transcripts two days ago, I’ll post when I receive anything new.

@BlackMetal Have you found anything out yet? If you did, do you think it’s fine to send transcripts now, even though the semester hasn’t ended and they will not see these grades?

@heygaby I actually cancelled my app and am going to send in another in january as computer science instead lol. Being so close to the end of the semester, I’d personally just wait until after this semester ends and then send your transcripts in

“History: Complete a minimum of two History courses. (If you complete more than three, be aware that UF’s history department will only accept nine hours of 1000-2000 level history courses toward this major.) Must typically have a minimum 2.5 overall GPA to be competitive. Must typically have a minimum 2.5 GPA on all attempts of these courses to be competitive.”

Not much more information besides that, unless you find someone who transferred out of state as a history major. I do believe in staters are given slightly more of an advantage if theyre deciding between two people with the same stats, though

I heard back from UF roughly two weeks after the application deadline passed for my college. Since your Major is under then school of Journalism/Communications (if I am not mistaken) you won’t hear back till Mid-March or Early April at earliest. Some schools at UF didn’t send out acceptance till late May last year. It could happen before that, but I would probably look for some time around there.

When I called admissions on several occasions they told me that they would be done with the Spring Semester by early/mid December and they would then start evaluating and sending applications to the colleges for the Fall Semester transfers…

They might review your application and then pass it along to your college, but they won’t decide till after their deadline. UF doesn’t have rolling admissions and that means the earliest you will hear is March. So, once your colleges deadline passes they will review applications and go from there.
