Does anyone know the transfer admission requirements for the University of Florida?

The admissions page only lists a minimum of 2.0 to receive credits for transfer. Other schools such as University of Notre Dame and Auburn University list the average cummulative GPA for transfer admission as 3.7 and 2.5 respectively. All three schools are ranked in the top 100 universities rankings.

UF has general transfer requirements, and then it’s college has additional requirements. These are minimum requirements, and you should expect to do higher, if you want to compete for a slot.

[University of Florida - Admissions](Transfer - How to Apply - University of Florida)

For example, the School of Engineering requirement:

[Transfer Requirements » Engineering Student Affairs » College of Engineering](Transfer Students - Undergraduate Student Affairs)

“Completion of at least 6 of the 8 critical tracking courses at the time of application with a minimum 2.5 critical tracking GPA.No more than two attempts are allowed for tracking courses. Withdrawals count as an attempt”

A 2.5 GPA will not get you in, you need to get something north of 3.0 in the critical track and overall GPA.

Another example, The Fisher School of Accounting (very, very, competitive):

“Due to limited capacity, it is unlikely that all candidates who meet the minimum standards for inclusion into the applicant pool will be admitted. Historically, a 3.5 overall and a 3.5 preprofessional grade point average are required to be a competitive candidate for admission.”

If you want to know the GPA’s of some students that have been accepted as transfer students, go to the UF forum.

Good Luck!

Thank you so much for the very informative response! I really appreciate it!
