University of Georgia

I’m a high school senior with a GPA of 3.71-3.9 (It is unsure since my transcript has not updated). I have taken around 4 dual enrollment courses, Honors courses (not for this year since I am currently doing college courses and the electives offered at the school I attend do not have honor courses) my SAT score is 1000, and my ACT score is a 23. I am a member of the National Honor’s Society and I often do a lot of tutoring (I help tutor students) in my school. I also help out in elementary school classrooms. I do not have much time to volunteer since my dad is a disabled veteran. Not only that, but I qualify for the HOPE scholarship. I am very nervous about not getting accepted since UGA is my first choice. I was just wondering if anyone knows my chances of getting in with these scores. I also decided that I wanted to change my intended major from Criminal Justice to English Education.

That SAT/ACT is pretty low for UGA’s averages. I got a 35 on ACT with over a 4.0 and still got deferred EA. While I expect to get in RD, it’s a very competitive school and would be a reach for you.

Like commenter above, SAT really low. But anything is possible

Okay, thank you!

i graduated high school last year with a 4.0, 10 AP courses, and a 1350 on the SAT. i was deferred EA and later denied RD. Despite getting denied, i was accepted to Georgia Tech and knew several people with lower scores than me (around yours, too) who were accepted to UGA. so don’t give up hope!!

i submitted my transfer app two days ago and am hoping to get accepted this time. go dawgs!

I hope you get accepted too!
