Does anyone know if there has ever been an instance where someone received the housing link and wasn’t accepted?
@ClassOf2020x me neither. I also don’t know if that means I got into the school I want or not
My son does not have housing link but 2 of his friends do. He has higher GPA and scores than they do we know that doesn’t mean anything. I heard people getting in who did get the link. Has anyone someone got was rejected? That would be cruel…
@ClassOf2020x haha same here! Growing up in MD, it was pretty much expected that I would apply to UMD. Its awesome that if I attend, there won’t just be a bunch of in state kids
@ClassOf2020x we are lucky we have a strong in-state school, and actually one of the top in the country for comp-sci

Yeah I saw that, does that mean they should come like tomorrow?
I saw that as well. A young man was accepted. Showed a picture of his acceptance, and said that the NowaTerp Bus trip was cancelled due to the snow.
@gq2016 No idea but hopefully! They did tweet that decisions could be announced over the weekend so at least we know that if it doesn’t come today that we don’t necessarily have to wait until monday to find out.

I emailed one of the people in the office about a month ago to make sure my transcript had been received. She replied and said the app would be released today
Oh and btw for the glitch, does that mean when you scroll down there is this thing that says “Housing and Dining Agreement (For admitted students only)” where you can click on edit application?
@gq2016 yes, the so-called “glitch” is that housing agreement
@RunWild17 I hope you’re right! Some people (I can’t remember if it was in this group or not) said that when they emailed admissions they were told today at 5ish. Really hoping this is right so the wait can be over.
Someone on Maryland Twitter page posted they got in!
so if you don’t have this “glitch” on your page then you didn’t get in???

Some people were admitted last year and said they didn’t have the glitch. A lot of ppl are admitted for the spring 2017 as well, and they likely wouldn’t have the housing link. Either way, you will likely know today by 6 pm so stay calm 
@XCjunior2016 What makes you think it’ll come out today by 6pm??
@ClassOf2020x I may not be the best source but a lot of the people that are saying today around 4-6 said they had been told that is when we will hear either by their school counselor or through email with UMD admissions.
@md1998 I’m quite skeptical of people who claim that they’ve emailed UMD and that UMD has responded with that considering the fact that @ApplyMaryland on Twitter is adamant on replying only with “by Feb. 1”
I would need to see email proof before I get my hopes up.
